What is a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)?

A Newborn Care Specialist (or NCS) is a career nanny that has specialized training to work with newborns and infants from 0-6 months. Newborn care specialists have a minimum of two years of infant (0-12 months) experience.  Most have many more years of experience, sometimes even decades of nanny experience before they decide to further their education in order to specialize in newborns and infants. Newborn care specialists have experience and education related to caring for multiples – twins, triplets and sometimes more!  All NCS are CPR certified every two years and most take ongoing continuing education classes.
